Description	:	Jim Spencer, on the left in the photo, was the last depot agent. At the time of this photo he was 86 years young. Spencer was the last full time agent in 1972. After that time he became a roving agent along the line between Roodhouse, IL and Farber, MO. This position lasted until Memorial Day 1973, when the railroad got rid of all agents. He regaled a group of railfans assembled at the depot with wonderful and funny stories of his life with the railroad. On the right, is the station's owner, Anita Ludwig. Ms. Ludwig leads the preservation society, and is the head of the effort to save the depot.
